The mists of the morning rise slowly
And silently steal away
Like a small child, stretching it's arms
Comes the dawn of a bright new day.
To those who have risen early
And witnessed this quiet hour
Comes the feeling of freshness
Revealed in the face of a flower.
It seams both the earth and heavens
Bend together in fond embrace
For strength and complete communion
And sway in a gentle grace.
A time when mortal man can drink
Of the fountain, and quench his thirst
And listen and wait for the power
To guide, that he could not see at first.
Showing a pathway to seek his goal
A burning desire, in the heart of man
To fulfill his destiny in a way
That fits in the master plan.

As time goes on we learn new things like our wood
heater slowed down and was hard to start in the mornings, I thought it was due to an inversion
layer in the valley but it turned out to be that our Chimney cap had slowly filled with heavy
soot. I had to use my ladder and climb up on the roof, with a piece of light pipe I rapped and
poked till it was clear seems to work OK now.
There are a pair of pileated woodpeckers that have
drilled into an old dead tree that is near to our home and are seeming to have made it their
home! They are so wary I have not been able to snap a picture of them yet, will keep trying
as spring takes over and the weather improves.

"A sudden flurry of snow decorates our shop building."

"Two precious little Cottontails looking for something to eat."
"Mother Nature painted these trees."
"Fall color in Kalispell Montana."
"Some more of natures handiwork."
"A look at last month's weather."
Boy was the weather man wrong and were we
surprised, the first couple of weeks in March. Mother nature went on a fling and dropped not
only the temperature but 3 or 4 inches of snow each day. One thing about it, it was dry and
powdery and easy to sweep.
Then on the 26th she done it again with a fine display
of wind, snow an all together fine display of March wanting to go out like a "Lion".
However there are many birds that go South for the winter months, now starting to show up at
our feeder, Oh yes we also saw a cute little Chipmunk feeding on the ground where the birds
drop some of their seed.

We will be saying so-long for now, and start getting ready for the next issue.
