"The Brook"

There’s a babbling in the brook
Just down the hill.
That sings sweet music to me
As it tumbles ore rock and rill.

There is quiet in the early morning
Before the sun comes into sight.
A rest to our body and soul
When you’ve had a sleepless night.

All the earth waits silently
For the coming of a new day.
Ready to meet the challenge
That is striving to make it’s way.

Life runs on like water
On it’s way down to the sea.
Meeting hurdles to cross over
And teach the way to be.

There can be joy and peace
Like water twinkling in the sun.
Or a stormy time may enter
And darken the way to run.

Every cloud has a silver lining
When it tries to cover the sun.
So we’ll be patiently waiting
And know the race can be won.

     Brother Ken and wife Jan are still with us and will be staying a week or so longer as Jan is recouping from a "A Gall Bladder Operation", you just never know when something like this will strike.   Ken has been falling some trees we wanted removed and is working them up, piling the brush and cutting all the logs into fire wood then bringing all the rounds and stacking them in our wood yard , what a fine job he has done.
     There were two new fawns born in the woods near by and Ken was lucky enough to snap some pictures of them, we are showing one of them in this issue.   We had a nice almost a week visit from daughter Heidi, hubby Al & granddaughter Michelle when they stopped by on their way home to Northern California after visiting their daughter Marie and hubby Jason in Vancouver BC.    The auto and truck traffic has increased it seams ten fold in the last few months on Boon Rd. due to the developing of the land up on the mountain behind us into building lots, the area around us is sure filling up.

"A look at some of the weather we are having."

"We just suffered through a week or ten day stretch of pretty hot days we even used a fan at night in the bedroom to keep things cool enough to sleep, however it has switched back to a cooler weather pattern now with nice cool nights, this morning it was 38 deg.at 6AM. With the warmer weather the growing season is in full swing and we are able to buy vegies etc. at the growers market in Kalispell. Also Lauries flowers are doing quite well, so far the deer have left them alone.
