Down beside the mighty ocean
Waves rolled in one by one.
Never ceasing in their effort
From early morn till setting sun.
Stormy seas can build them higher
But their rhythm stays the same.
Sometimes we wonder as we watch them
If they’re playing some kind of game.
Deep and blue and filled with mystery
There are secrets never told.
So strong that on its water’s
The greatest ships can ride so bold.
Hidden down beneath the surface
Is the home where fishes dwell.
Mingling there all size and color
Even those who wear a shell
Man has yet this power to conquer
Though he’s tried to no avail.
This example of creation
Never stirred but by a gale.

Again as the months roll by we are faced with two winters and one summer, the first of the two winters I think is upon us, just this last week we attached the snow plow blade to our four wheel drive (ATV) to plow out our driveway, it works so well amd we are fortunate to have it, just think of the back breaking shoveling it would take to shovel out several hundred feet of 12 or 14 foot wide driveway! of almost a foot of new snow. It is time to start feeding our birds again as I think the bears have by now gone into their winter sleep mode? at least we hope so. I am still plugging away on the computer as well as doing some watercolor cards to help keep me busy, Oh yes also keep tying a few fishing fly's each day as spring will be here one day and some one I'm sure will need or want them. Daughter Lisa and hubby Don arrived here right in the middle of this snow storm from a trip to California where they bought a nice older sail boat, and are busy getting it winterized for freeze protection in this cold weather.
Laurie is busy as ever with her house chores and the many care packages she sends to family and friends also she takes bags of food etc. to the local food pantry for the needy.
Be sure and drop by if you are in our neighborhood, until next time "Have a Great Day".

"This morning we rolled out of bed to find the thermometer sitting at just a point below zero, needless to say I got right busy with my morning fire building, soon the house was warm and cozy, just don't seem to be able to beat the heat that you get from the old wood heater. Praise the LORD I think we have enough wood to last through the whole winter. The deer that pass through our yard seem to rotate through this area and others, and right now they are back, we sure miss thwm when they are gone. I sure hope they find enough to eat.
