(“My Wish”)

In the years ahead
If my eyes grow dim and I cannot see
I'll have all the things
That through the years, memory has stored for me.

Like the flowers that bloom
Each with a special color all it's own
So delicate as it opens it's face
And slowly follows the sun.

The blue of the sky
As it blends with bright shades at sunset
And the rainbow, that ends
In a field where the grass is wet.

I'll remember the stars in the sky
As they twinkle all through the night
The big round moon that shines
With soft and gossimer light.

I'll see the trees of the forest
Standing tall and sublime
Near blue lakes where little waves
Lap the sands of the shore line.

I'll feel the cool moss
That clings to the rocks in the shade
Where a crack issues forth
Bubbling water where a spring was made.

I'll think of the days
When the sun shone bright and warm
And the feel of cooling rain
So refreshing during a summer storm.

I'll see again the faces
Of loved ones and tender smiles
The shining eyes of children
Filled with faith to begin lifes trials.

All these beautiful things
I've had the privilege to know
I ask that nothing ever erase them
And that I'll be thankful wherever I go.

We are both well and praise the LORD for it. It is interesting what a difference there is between the weather reports given by two or more weather stations it is like living in two different parts of the world .   With the arrival of the snow at least we suffer no more with dust on Boon Rd.  As the vehicle traffic continues to increase due to all the building going on above us.
We have finished now the job of getting the winters supply of stove wood in along with quit a pile of the bark that fell off while splitting that wood, it really burns good too.   Since the last issue the state has finished the instillation of the traffic light at the intersection of our Hw-93 & Hw-82, what a blessing.    I have tuned up our little Yamaha ATV and have the snow plow blade ready to install just in case, as of this date we have only an inch or so of that white stuff.
Two of our kids Don and Lisa left here almost a week ago with their sail boat Snowy for a cruise in the Gulf of California starting at San Carlos, they plan to be gone 5 or 6 months what an adventure.

Be sure and drop by if you are in our neighborhood, until next time

Weather Information

"A look at some of the weather we are having."

"We now have snow even if it is only an inch or so however with the lower temps (It has been below freezing for a week or so now) the snow SQUEAKS when you walk in it.      The Tamarack are losing their pretty yellow needles now and will look like just plain old dead trees until spring.
Laurie and I hang out indoors and close to the old wood heater this time of year and count our blessings, which are many.
