"'That Time of Year"

The days are short
The nights are long
The weather is holding steady.

The fire feels good
The works all done
The food is cooked and ready.

The folks are here
The bells peal out
The jolly day of meeting.

The time has come
For one and all
To sit down and start eating.

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

We have a fresh new year to grow in now and looking back we are able to remember "2003" with all it's bright and not so bright times, we have no control over any of this however, as time marches at it's own pace.
Last month we had low enough temperatures for the fog and low laying clouds to place beautiful frost on all the trees and bushes, they call it rime, In any event it is one of natures prettier offerings to behold.
Praise be to the computers for with them we are able to keep in touch by word and picture, with most of our Family and friends, even down into Mexico where my brother Ken and his wife Jan have their mission to the little fishing villiage of "Bahia De Kino" Mexico. Next issue I will show some of the pictures, my brother is sending us, of the "Christmas Shoe Boxes" Donated by (The Little Brown Church) in Big Fork Montana, being handed out to the families in Kino.
There has been a lowering of temperatures and also quite a nice snow storm that moved in for the past few days, giving me a chance to use our little " Yamaha ATV " that has a nice five foot wide snow plow attached, it really does a fine job of clearing the yard and drive way! With Christmas and New Year's past, Laurie & daughter Lisa are busy getting the Holiday and tree decorations down and boxed for use next season, Its my job to take the tree apart and pack it away, as we finally decided to use an artificial tree and save our live ones that grow outdoors and are so pretty.
I have been trying to return to my painting, as I am an amateur painting enthusiast and even though a rank beginner, enjoy plying my hand at watercolor and oil, my real passion is landscapes, maybe I will post some of my paintings in the future for you to see?

"A look at some of the weather we are having."

Here we go again delving into the art of trying to explain the antics of mother nature and her varied patterns of weather, we look in the old" Farmers Almanac" also listen to all the "Old-Timers" tales of times remembered and days of yore.
To boil it all down here in Montana if you stick your head out of doors and it gets " Wet " It's probably raining!
