(A posey and a Poem for my Mom on Mothers Day 1964)
My mother welcomed me
With open arms
When my life was new.
She guided me
through tender years
So that my hurts were few.
She tried to teach me all the
Things I'd need to know
To grow up right.
Then she taught me how to say
My prayers
When I lay down at night.
The years have been quite long
for her
But still not to unkind.
And now her eyes are dim
And she needs help
Her way to find.
Now it's my turn to give her
Love and care
To brighten up her days.
And make lighter
any burden
She must bare.

July is here and summer has finally arrived, even
though we need it I thought the rainy season was stuck in the (on) position and was going to
stay that way for the rest of the year.
Our Flathead Lake is full up to the brim and is so
beautiful. The fishing has suffered some with all the rain causing fish food, worms insects etc.
to wash into the water, so the fish are pretty well fed! and are more choosy what they bite on!
However if the right bait is thrown out there they will accept it!
Again we have a big assortment of our feathered friends
dining on the seed in our bird feeder, including one that we have pictured in this issue, the
"Lazuli Bunting". They are such a pretty bird with bright blue head feathers and
we don't see them all that often around our home.
We have had the pleasure of the visit of my brother
Ken and wife Jan, they plan on being back again later this summer. Also, our daughter Heidi
and two of her daughters, our granddaughters Marie with hubby Jason, and Michelle are due
in for a few days around the 27th of June, this will have happened by post time.
Yep they made it alright and right on time, how nice
it is to have family around to visit with and spend quality time with. Daughter Heidi and Granddaughter
Michelle and I stole time to do a few bicycle miles here on the local bike path. It was late
evening nice & cool with a nice breeze from (Behind) on the trip back, that always helps out
on the way home.

We have been real pleased with the weather
pattern that has been with us now for several weeks. Seems strange not to have a lot of
things to gripe about! But we do enjoy the occasional thunder and lightning display that
seems to pop up around this time of year.
