"This is the last Poem of my Mothers I was able to find, next month we will post some of the things she wrote about that happened during her life."

"My BirthDay"

Birthday at Joe's 1965

We had such a wonderful Party
Thought sure you would be there
Rae was a clever hostess
And there was food to spare.

Some one let out the secret
Why every one was to come
But it didn't make any difference
For we still had lots of fun.

The Mathwigs came with the children
And the Wier's, with their wee one
Bearing gifts of love and affection
Waiting for the rest to come.

We all went up the river
When we were full to the brim
To cool off in the clear water
And see if Mom could swim.

Each took a turn at badminton
Beneath the shade in the yard
Joe built a fire to cook wieners
As we listened for you real hard.

It was so nice we decided
We would try again some day
And hope to have you with us
So we can all be together to play.

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Another month has passed and the fourth of July will soon be here with all it's bluster and excitement, I suppose it will be as noisy as usual here in Montana, as they start the fireworks a few days before and a few days after you still hear the celebration going on.
Laurie and I arrived home last week from our latest outing to find the rain still coming down hard at times and the sound of thunder echoing across the lake, we have had a bumper year sofar in the rain department, they say we have had over twice our regular amount, it for sure has been contributing to a bumper crop of very hungery mosquitos. our neighbor just East of us is having some excavation done so there is the sound of heavy equipment moving soil and the clang of metal against rocks, as they dig and then backfill.
We are pleased to have heard that the "Scuttlebutt" is being accessed successfully in Israel by a family friend that lives there, isn't this internet a great place?
Be sure and drop by if you are in our neighborhood, until next time
"Have a Great Day".

Weather Information

"A look at some of the weather we are having."

We have just finished the wetest June we have experienced since we moved here in early 1990's, I thought sometimes it might be called a Cloud-Burst it came down so hard, the weather man predicts the rain will taper off and the weather will be starting a warming trend in the days to come.
We can see very few of the tips of our mountains with any snow left on them and all the streams are up and rushing, I don't think it will make for good fishing with water this high.
