Life is like a River
It begins when we are small
And grows into a mighty stream
It demands that we give all.
It winds into many places
As we learn so many things
As we grow to be a person
Made strong by what life brings.
There are hidden curves to thread
We only know when we arrive
Never knowing what lies ahead
Just that we are alive.
Each day a challenge
To do our very best
By day to do our labor
And at night to seek our rest.
The goal for each is chosen
By what he feels inside
To give or take
Our conscience is our guide.

Golly, June has slipped in here and we weren't even
ready for it although we have been seeing evidence of new growth on the evergreens and new
leaves on the various other trees in our area. Our grass (we don't have) a lawn as such but a
lot of native grass laced liberally with "Dandelions" that we do mow quite often and
it does look surprisingly good, a nice stand in for the real thing.
The Robins that show up nearly the first to return in
the spring often seen out on our grass prospecting for angle worms, they seem to be able to
hear the worms as you see them cock their heads to one side as if pointing an ear to hear
better, anyway it sure looks that way.
Laurie was out driving on her way to shop at a sale
being put on across the valley from us, when she noticed a ranch where quite a number of
Llamas were being raised, maybe we can get a few pictures for a future edition. The roads in
Glacier park are being worked on and as soon as they are open to travel we plan to try for a
series of pictures shot right in the park, who knows maybe we can catch some of the critters
to?
Even with all of the moisture we have had this spring
the dust is starting to be an issue, as Boon road in front of our home is a dirt road and as it
dries out the traffic stirs up clouds of dust, it will soon be time to have oil sprayed on it as we
do most every year to help control the dust problem.

Mother nature is still playing games with our
weather here in the month of May! It seems every other day we get a change in weather with
showers, a little sunshine now and then, and lots of cool cloudy skies, at least with the frequent
rain storms the roads are not as dusty. The cherry crop around the lake should be a good one
with the exta rain.
