"Dawn of Day"

Early in the morning
Soon after the break of day
All the little creatures
Have time to romp and play.

The fuzzy little bunny
Hops forth upon the grass
Choosing the tender morsels
To begin his day's repast.

Along comes robin red breast
He is hungry to
And tips his head to listen
For him a worm will do.

The froggies and the crickets
Who've chirped the whole night through
Have gone on home to rest
Ere the coming of the dew.

High up among the branches
Of a lofty tree near by
You can hear the scamper
And see a squirrel's bright eye.

Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow you
Must wake and do your best
To find an early breakfast
For the babies in your nest.

Now the sun is peeping
It's eye above the hill
So every one must hurry
And try to get their fill.

For the hustle and the bustle
Of most folks busy day
Will steal away the quiet
And scare the birds away.

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Well June 2005 is here along with the start of summer, and Laurie and I are working on the plans for yet another trip West where we want to check out the place in Washington State where the 2006 Ellsworth reunion will be held, it is not to far from "Moses Lake" and will be held in the month of June of that year.
We plan to continue on to the Pacific coast and work our way south along the Coast Highway, we should be able to capture some excellent snapshots to share on our return.      Last week in the little town of Bigfork, ( just across the upper end of Flathead Lake from us) was held their "2005 Whitewater Festival" it involves Kayak racing on what they call the "Wild Mile" on the Swan River, it is an international class "V" event.
Also further up the river there was held a Triathalon race, Kayaking, Biking and Running, our neighbor Markson Yde entered him and I in that event, In the (Clydesdale div.) that's for old-timers weighing over 250 lbs. and over 65 years old, he at 66 and me at 75, him doing the four mile Kayaking 2 miles down and 2 miles up river then I did the 18 mile bike ride with him finishing up with the 4 mile run. " We were not first! "SMILE" But we did finish. " Won a couple of dollars and a "T" Shirt too!"
In this issue there is a picture of Laurie on her new 5 speed three wheel bike, she is sure doing good and is getting better and better on each ride. Oh yes we got the new half wine barrels out on the back deck with wheels installed and filled with soil also have the tomatoes and pepper plants planted. The county has finally got the big rock formation removed on the curve on Boon Rd. just above our home, I must say it looks pretty good and will be much safer for traffic .
Be sure and drop by if you are in our neighborhood, until next time
"Have a Great Day".

Weather Information

"A look at some of the weather we are having."

The snow pack on the mountains is fast disappearing with the comming of the start of summer. The past few weeks of weather has held a lot of sunny warm days with light wind, just right to hit the trails on the bike.
We look forward to the sunny summer time as it brings the promis of our favorite season " The Cool of Winter "
